Flight Plans

In 2003, I was fortunate to be able to go on a trip to Guatemala that I loved. We arrived in Guatemala City safely then early the next morning we took off for Tikal Ruins. We road the airlines and encountered turbulance (we = the people I travelled with for the delegation from the Church group I went with). We felt the plane drop suddenly in the air and we found ourselves praying that we make it to the airstrip okay. We did and were so eternally grateful.

It was nothing like the Flight Plan movie with Jodie Foster. I hope that you get to see the movie. The movie’s plot is twisted enough that you have no idea until towards the end how it might end - at one point in the movie, you are wondering if she might be making everything up or dreaming this whole scheme and the heartwrenching emotions of losing a child were definately felt. I went to see the movie with my daughter tonight and she seemed to enjoy it as well, although she is into the much more scarier movies like the Saw 2 movie about to come out.

I think I would certainly like to have someone like Jodie’s character in the airplane with me who is that knowledgeable about the planes. Aside from flying back to Guatemala City from Tikal… and from Guatemala City to Houston when we were done with our 2 week trip in Guatemala, I haven’t flown much since then. It isn’t that I don’t want to; I just haven’t made much opportunity to fly with my working all the jobs that I do now.

I do so look forward to making additional travel arrangments soon (when my schedule balances out a bit). I have plans to go to Ecuador someday....maybe to some other states as well that I haven’t visited yet (mostly mid-central states). Any suggestions for some flight plans????

:D
